Community Policing

The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ University Police Department is dedicated to the philosophy of community policing and embraces the concept of working with our community to resolve issues.  We offer many safety lectures and programs to our community and are available upon request.  Some of the programs we offer include:

Bicycle Patrol: Chief Tracy Stuart is the Bicycle Patrol Coordinator.  She is a certified bicycle patrol trainer, and is responsible for the training of officers in the tactics and safety of patrolling on a bicycle.  We have several mountain bikes in our inventory and nearly half the officers in our department are certified bicycle patrol officers.  We regularly patrol the campus on bicycle, covering the many areas a motor vehicle can not access.  Should you need any additional information on our bicycle patrol program.
